Dirt Track Racing and NASCAR driver, Tyler Dippel, has been suspended indefinitely by NASCAR for "actions detrimental to stock car racing," and "violations of the sport's code of conduct."
The 19-year-old, New York native competed in Super DIRTcar Big Block and Sportsman Modifieds, before making the jump to the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series, full-time, behind-the-wheel of the Young's Motorsports No. 02 entry. Dippel currently sits 13th in NGOTS point standings, with a number of solid performances, including a career-best of third at Michigan International Speedway, a few weeks ago.
It is unclear why Tyler was suspended by NASCAR early Friday, and we are working to learn more on the circumstances around the situation and suspension. DIRT UNLIMITED will pass-along any further information, once it is learned and made public.
